This week marked the one-year anniversary of COVID-19 induced shutdowns in Massachusetts and much of the rest of the country. Everyone I have talked to seems to remember the day they packed their offices in the hope of returning in a few days. A lot has happened during this year – a deluge of bad news on the pandemic, lockdowns, and personal loss; but also, many victories big and small – rising stock markets, record savings rates, and the sourdough bread baking, which btw, I recently got into and it is so much fun! Anyway, I digress. At Finhive, we used this time to move our programs online, built more classes, and added material to our website. A year later, I am starting to feel hopeful again with, dare I say, chance of a normal-ish summer this year. I am also excited about the opportunity to get deeper into sustainable investing discussion by sponsoring the Sustainability conference at Babson College coming up this week. For now, it's time to bake another sourdough bread and wish for it to rise this time. [ICYMI] Finhive is proud to sponsor the Babson Sustainability & Energy Club’s Babson #Sustainability Conference 2021! Starting on March 16, this five-day virtual conference features daily exploratory conversations and networking events with leaders. Learn more and register here: https://www.bseclub.org/schedule-2021. [Don't Miss] Don't miss this upcoming workshop on investing in a Special Purpose Acquisition Company (SPAC), a new phenomenon taking Wall Street by storm. By popular demand, we are offering a special 90-minute discussion on March 18 on the fundamentals of SPAC investing, and its potential risks and rewards.
